An invitation to join us for a New Years Eve dining experience with a difference.
Meet Phil Carrol our award winning Head Chef, classically trained and working at places like Langan’s Brasserie in London and Orange Balloon with Brain Turner. He will be presenting parts of the meal in front of you and entertaining you with a lively commentary and some amusing stories.
Phil has prepared a delicious banquet for you, designed not to over face you but to give you the pleasure of tasting an array of dishes and a heady combination of flavours.
The evening will start at 7.30pm with Canapés and a welcome glass of bubbly and then we will all sit down for dinner at approximately 8pm.
Phil will welcome you into the restaurant and tell you a little bit about the dining experience he has put together for you.
We will commence the meal with a small delicate Amuse Bouche; a warming winter soup is next with a seasonal theme before going on to your light starter course of either fish or soufflé. Phil then returns to the restaurant to serve you a traditional Beef Wellington or Feuillette.
Time for a little break now and a palate cleanser, what better for this than a refreshing Iced Tea Sorbet.
This is the part of the evening when Phil will again join you in the restaurant and serve you your dessert cooking crepes for you if this is your choice. He will also be offering you a selection of seasonal cheeses especially selected for Widbrook Grange for the occasion by Chris Suter of La Chasse. We will finish the meal with coffee.
We have designed the evening to serve the meal over a three and a half hour period and those of you who would like to stay with us until midnight to see in the New Year are more than welcome.
If you don’t want to drive home or get a taxi after the meal we are, as in past years, offering you bed and a breakfast tray for just £60 for two people in a double or twin bedded room.
We would also like to support Peter’s Rotary Club’s and Jane’s involvement with local charities by donating, from our profit, five pounds to the Dorothy House Hospice for every person who comes to the evening.
